The Longship, Kirkness & Gorie and The Orkney Distillery have come together to celebrate winter the Nordic Way.
On a chilly northern evening, join us in the stylish Scandi setting of The Orkney Distillery and journey further north into a land of great design, delicious food, and that cosy hygge sensation.
The Kirkjuvagr bar will be open if you want to warm yourself up with a drink before you start. They’re mixing up a special Glögg – sweet, spiced festive wine – to tempt you and put you straight in a Scandi mood. Full bar service available all evening.
Wander upstairs and down, admiring the new designs and products on show, talking to some of the designer-makers, and snapping up some exciting new gifts, or treats for yourself.

Your ticket includes a selection of smörgåsbord bites, specially made by Karin Jonsson of the Orkney Sourdough Company, a real taste of Sweden! And try Kirkness & Gorie’s new seasonal selection of Scandinavian foods, from Kalles Kaviar to Kvikk Lunsj to Gäsene Hushallsost Swedish cheese.
There’s a designer raffle with quality prizes donated by our makers, to raise funds for Every Child Deserves a Christmas (Orkney Charitable Trust.)
Come at 5pm and stay all evening, or drop in at any time that suits you. Come with friends or come alone and make new ones…Bar open late after the shopping stops!
