Inspired by one of the tallest and most famous sea stacks in the British Isles, our Man O’ Hoy Spiced Rum is an expression of both place and spirit. This natural monument’s rugged presence mirrors the bold profile of our rum - adventurous, elemental, and unmistakably Orcadian.
Rum Spiced The Orcadian Way 🥃
This rum has been expertly blended with a unique mixture of Orcadian botanicals and global spices, resulting in a spirit of complexity and warmth. Bright notes of aniseed and spice on the nose give way to a smooth palate of warm vanilla, orange marmalade and cinnamon.
In developing our inaugural rum, we set out to create a spirit that remains true to the essence of our brand while establishing a distinct identity of its own. As the first release of its kind from our distillery, this rum represents a significant and exciting milestone.
A New Era
We were pleased to collaborate with local graphic designer, Zak Johnson, who helped bring our concept to life. The colour palette and flowing wave motif offer a subtle nod to our Kirkjuvagr gin range, ensuring continuity while signalling something refreshingly different.
The description on the back of the label is evocative of The Orkney Blast, a wartime newspaper that once circulated our island community. This homage serves as a meaningful acknowledgment of our Orcadian heritage - an enduring source of pride and inspiration in everything we do.

We recommend serving Man O' Hoy over lots of ice, with Fever Tree's Ginger Beer and a slice of lime to garnish. 🍋
