The 2019 Scottish Gin Award finalists were announced yesterday, and we are delighted to share the news that we have made the final in two categories: Scottish Destination of the Year and High Strength Gin of the Year for our Kirkjuvagr Arkh-Angell Gin.
The Orkney Distilling team are immensely proud to be nominated and recognised as one of Scotland’s best gin destinations, a week before the distillery celebrates its first birthday.
As we enter our second year of operations at our distillery in Kirkwall, we have been overwhelmed with the support and feedback received by locals and visitors alike. We are tremendously proud of our distillery and it is fantastic to meet gin lovers who have travelled from near and far to experience one of our tours or experiences.
Haven’t yet visited us? Our distillery tours and gin making experiences are the ideal attraction for gin enthusiasts visiting Orkney. The distillery tours run at 11am and 2pm each day (except Sundays) with extra tours added for peak times. During the tour, you will learn about the distilling process with one of our friendly tour guides, and you’ll also get an opportunity to sample our gins whilst overlooking Kirkwall’s harbour.
