We’re delighted to announce the release of our new Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, Rysa.
This whisky has been carefully crafted for those who appreciate depth, character, and the artistry of fine blending. Named after the uninhabited Orkney island of Rysa, it embodies the spirit of Scotland’s northernmost landscapes - bold, balanced, and undeniably smooth.
Rysa is a non-chill filtered, small batch, blended malt Scotch whisky, made with elements from some of Scotland’s finest single malt distilleries, including Orkney.
~ Tasting notes ~
Nose: Intriguing smokiness with strong hints of raisin and burnt leather.
Palate: Gentle peat smoke, sweet with crème brulée and a delicate pepper nip.
Finish: Long finish, light smokiness and lingering dried fruits.
As a peated whisky, full of smoky flavour, Rysa represents a contrast to our first blended malt release, Fara, with its sweet notes of heather honey and vanilla.
Both blended malts are aimed at offering whisky enthusiasts the opportunity to experience expertly crafted blends while awaiting maturation of our much-anticipated single malt.
